Haris Tajyar, Managing Partner
Haris Tajyar is the Managing Partner at Investor
Relations International (IRI). He founded IRI in
early 2002 after resigning from FRB|Weber
Shandwick Worldwide (FRB), the world’s largest
investor relations agency, where he served for
more than eight years, most recently as vice
president. An internationally recognized expert on
investor relations, corporate disclosure,
governance, valuation and other corporate
management topics for micro- to large-cap
companies, Mr. Tajyar is responsible for the
strategic IR consulting and day-to-day program
execution of several publicly traded small-cap
programs.
Mr. Tajyar also created and
heads the firm’s proprietary “delisting” and
“small-cap programs”. The “delisting program” is
specifically designed to help companies that are
not compliant with Nasdaq’s minimum bid criteria
to become compliant during the given grace period.
Mr. Tajyar’s article “The Best Delisting Defense,”
which details his unique “delisting” strategy, ran
in a number of business and industry publications,
including Entrepreneur Magazine, San Jose
Business Journal, IR Magazine (expected in
September) and IR Newsletter.
During his ten-year career in
investor relations, Mr. Tajyar has counseled
dozens of companies on investor relations issues,
including strategic positioning, media relations,
financing, crisis communications and delisting
situations. Major clients have included Starwood
Hotels and Resorts (NYSE: HOT), ValueVision
International (Nasdaq: VVTV), Castelle Inc. (Nasdaq:
CSTL), Taro Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq: TARO), Qiao
Xing Universal Telephone (Nasdaq: XING) and many
others.
Among the numerous industry
accolades Mr. Tajyar has received over the years,
his collection includes the coveted PRSA Investor
Relations Program of the Year award, which he won
two years in a row for his work on Starwood Hotels
& Resorts, as well as winning Investor Relations
program of the Year for ValueVision and many
others.
During his term as Vice
President at FRB, Mr. Tajyar created and
spearheaded the firm’s Retail Marketing Program,
including Internet and broker marketing. He also
generated more investor positions, major media
hits and client success stories than any other
executive in the firm’s Los Angeles office.
Mr. Tajyar studied
business administration with an emphasis in
finance at California State University Northridge.

Jerry Miller, Vice President of Media Relations
Mr. Miller, Vice
President of Media Relations, brings decades of
high-level strategic and tactical communications
skills in media relations and public relations to
his clients. His experience includes managing the
image and reputation of a broad array of public
companies, including those involved in finance and
financial services, mutual funds, insurance, real
estate, banking, technology, telecommunications,
energy, media, and consumer products companies.
Clients he has served include: Merrill Lynch;
The Putnam Companies (bond funds); Boston
Properties; EMC; Cooper Tire & Rubber; Reliant
Energy; Old Republic Insurance; BBC Worldwide;

A former reporter for the New York Times, Mr.
Miller has a Master of Urban Planning degree from
Hunter College and a Bachelor of Arts degree from
C.C.N.Y.

Tom Gray, Vice President and Account Group Manager
Mr. Gray has been a Vice
President and Account Group Manager at IRI since
early 2002. He is a veteran financial writer and
communications consultant for a number of news
organizations and other corporate clients. In a
career spanning three decades, he has written for
publications such as the Los Angeles Times and
Investor's Business Daily. For the past four years
he has been a regular contributor to the Deloitte
& Touche bimonthly publication TMT Trends, where
he writes on emerging technologies, management
trends and capital markets for young growth
companies.
Mr. Gray also has been a
senior editor at Investor's Business Daily and
editorial-page editor of the Los Angeles Daily
News, where his writing won a number of statewide
and regional awards. He has authored three books
on online investing (published by John Wiley &
Sons): Teach Yourself Investing Online, Investing
Online for Dummies Quick Reference, and the
latest, Online Investing Bible.
A graduate with distinction
from Stanford University, Mr. Gray also has a
master's degree in English from UCLA. His areas of
expertise include biotechnology, computer hardware
and software, defense and aerospace, financial
services and health care.
